Molluscum Contagiosum Case

Molluscum contagiosum is a common skin disease caused by a virus molluscum contagiosum virus.

The lesion is characterized by raised painless bumps on the upper surface of skin. The bumps can last for few months to few years. But the lesion becomes painful if it is secondarily infected. The size may vary from 1 to 2 mm to 5 to 10 mm.

The disease spread by direct contact with the lesion or through contaminated objects like towels or clothes.

A case of molluscum contagiosum

A 3yr old girl was brought with Molluscum contagiosum (MC).  And she was suffering from it since the last 8 months. The lesion was centered on the eyes and also due to the reason that the “procedure” is little bit painful the parents were not willing to continence the treatment of the dermatologist.

The patient was prescribed with the medicine Calcarea Carb 1M/ 2d with biochemic medicine silicia 3x/ 90 tabs as 1 each three times a day. The girl was completely cured within a period of one and half months

Though molluscum contagiosum is a self limiting disease homeopathy can cure it much faster than expected.
